Le Black Label Brut Champagne

Wine: Le Black Label Brut Champagne (Lanson)

Region: Champagne, France

Grape: Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier

A citrusy Champagne with a mix of green fruits such as apples and pears really compliment with the lime. This in turn gives this Champagne a nice balance and a refreshing fruity taste.

While there are many different varieties of sparkling wine from various regions, Champagne is not one of these as it is trademarked in the Champagne region. This is because the French wanted to protect the term “Champagne.”

The beauty of Champagne comes from the fact that it is a luxury drink, often enjoyed on special occasions. This is because it is blended with several vintages. Furthermore non-vintage Champagne is excellent and less expensive then vintage. This is due to the fact that when producing a vintage, the growing conditions have to be favourable to get the perfect quality of the champagne.

Food Paring: Pork, Shellfish, Rich fish (Salmon, Tuna etc) and Cheese (mild and soft)

Champagne and particularly this one, I find goes nicely with cheese because the flavours of the soft cheese blends nicely with the green fruits of the champagne.
