Sous les Cailloux des Grillions 2021

Wine: Clos du Gravillas

Region: Hérault, France (Langudeoc-Roussillon Red)

Grapes: Shiraz/Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache, Mourvedre, Counoise, Carignan, Terret

A nice range of various flavours such as fig, giving this wine a light texture but also a full body due to the dark fruits blending nicely with the complexities of the grapes. Which in turns leaves a smooth earthy taste.

Some of the most important grapes from the Languedoc-Roussillon region are Carnbernet, Merlot, Mourvedre, Grenache and Syrah. This region produces wine in the South of France from the Mediterranean coast to Provance.

The Languedoc is known for full-bodied wines that can be quite complex and Roussillon produces juicer and riper blends as well as fortified wines. The name therefor is a combination of the two regions.

Food parings: Beef, Pasta and Veal
